This valley has been recognized as a World Heritage Site by UNESCO under the World Network of Biosphere Reserves. And that’s simply amazing!

Chopta, one of the most peaceful places in Uttarakhand, is a popular camping spot. The reason being its virgin beauty. This place is a piece of the Kedarnath Wildlife Sanctuary and is famed for having world’s richest biodiversity. This makes it a great place to bring yourself closer to mother nature and its wonders. Apart from the unmistakable tranquility of the place, from here, you have the privilege to enjoy the closest view of the Greater Himalayas and the world’s highest Shiva temple.

Ramgarh is a popular hill station in Uttarakhand that is known for its unusual activities, one of which is bird watching. Ramgarh is blessed with dense forests and huge stretches of green pastures. The abundant flora in the place gives temporary home to many species of migratory birds throughout the year. Additionally, Ramgarh is also known as the Fruit Bowl of Kumaon region because you can find a lot of orchards of pears, apples, apricots, and peaches.

Every nook and corner of Uttarakhand is packed with beauty and that is proved by the butterfly parks of the place. The rich greenery of the place is residence to over 500 different types of butterflies many of which are exotic and not found anywhere else in the country. Uttarakhand tourism department has opened two butterfly parks, one in Nainital and the second one in Dehradun to bring in tourists by the dozen. Peora is a tiny village scattered in the contoured valleys of Uttarakhand.
