Finding love through the slices of pizza

Finding love through the slices of pizza

A year ago I had a pretty bad time, it was that bad that I lost my dad, left my graduation, and also started losing myself psychologically. I had a group of remarkable friends which still have their darling eye upon me if I have any problem but it wasn’t enough for me until I met that girl.

It was the birthday party of one of my friends named Rishabh. There were almost 30 people but my gaze was fixed on the girl who wore sky blue top and put on lip gloss. Our introduction was quicker than I thought. Her name was PRIYA JAIN.

Later I came to know that the string was in swing from the other side too, which she accepted in our third or fourth meeting.

Anyways, come to the point she looked simply smart but not the kind of the girl who drove you mad with desire. The next day of my friend’s birthday I got an anonymous message.

Technically I replied with a HI and she confirmed that she was Priya. It was a bit unbelievable to me that a girl like Priya was talking to me but it was true.
I was not believing it in the first place. In the second place, my friends are too obsessed with a prank like this.

So I get the whole of this if any of my friends involve in this, thankfully not.

I came from the locality where getting a girl is considered as wondrous and after that an adventurous lifestyle. Even I was thinking the same, chatting with her every night long over the phone. There were dozens of night where we finished up by dirty talking.

We often discussed how we make out when we met next time, we planned sex too, and much more but whenever we came to face each other we felt shy.

Don’t know about her mentality but I felt guilt over my dirty talking with her, I always thought she wasn’t this kind of girl. She deserves better and I have to make myself better.

Her face was like an angel, my dirty thought to fuck her started leaving my mind. I started imagining her as my best buddy in no sooner as we met. This kind of girl my Priya is.

Soon she opened with me, there wasn’t anything like boyfriend and girlfriend, and I swear upon God that this type of relationship is most loveable than any relationship of the world. When I was with Priya I used to forget all my problems and dreary of the life.

It was like my father sent her from the heaven above to look after his cute and fun-loving son. Things were going so well that there was always a thought in my mind whether it was a dream or reality. I was enjoying myself fully.

Then I took her to the pizza hut, we were sitting at the couple's table waiting for each other to start a conversation.

“So, you are liking the pizza.” She asked, smiley.

“No.”

“Why?” she asked as she gets an unexpected answer.

“You are seriously here to eat this PIZZA.”

“Relax, I was just…” she started.

I waited.

“I was just wondering if you have any girlfriend.” She paused. “Or girlfriends.”

It put a smile on my face, but I didn’t understand why she was asking this then. And I answered in negative.

“Then make one.” She smiled, chewing her pizza.

“Of course,” I said.

After a few days, I met a girl named Ritika from the reference of Priya. They might be fast friend in the old days.

Ritika had the same story like me, her mother passed away, her bua lived with her while her father works in the office. She was a kind of strong girl what everybody wants to be. I was just dragged towards her, I want to listen to her, and I want to cry with her too.

Ritika was cute and bubbly and beautiful too. We both fall for each other in no time. I want to love her without boundaries so we came closer. Once when we were sharing our pain she told me this emotional story of her where her mother brought her the heaviest teddy bear which wasn’t fit in her family budget at all.

She said she was close to her mom and started crying hiding her face in the dark between my chests. That moment her pain outshined mine. It felt like I felt nothing in comparison to Ritika’s pain and I also started crying over her shoulder.

We got physical after that and our relationship was like the boyfriend and girlfriend relationship, and that time I introduce Ritika to everyone as my girlfriend.

There’s a problem in the physical relationship which is related to find the room. Most of the time Ritika used her house for the purpose and I was there for my needs. We both are happy until the night when I had to chat with the two girls.

Priya was not my girlfriend but don’t know why I was hiding my best moments from my best friend. Finally, I thought I didn’t have any reason to hide my relationship with Ritika to Priya. So, once again, on the corner table of the pizza hut commonly known as couples table, I was waiting for Priya to come.

Priya comes after half an hour making an excuse for attending guests at the house. She wore a black top printed 3D shoes with laces coming out. She always looks gorgeous.

“Why’d you call me here? We could meet at my home?” she took a hot slice of the pizza.

“C’mon sit na. I have to tell you a very exciting news.”

I snatched her hand to make her sit down in the chair opposite me.

“What?” she stared into my eyes? “You are behaving abnormally today.”

“You are making me nervous,” I stated flatly.

“Ok tell. Anything important. Are you okay? You are planning something.”

“Oh God! Priya. Will you please shut up for a moment?”

“Fine.”

A moment of silence and we both broke into the laughter.“Actually I’m in a relationship,” I uttered. She didn’t respond. Her pizza chewing gets slower.I continued. “It’s Priya…um sorry. I mean Ritika.” I looked at her. There was a silence at her face. “I just thought-“

“Why are you telling me these?” she was trying to behave normal opposite to what her body language speaking.

“Because you are my best friend.”

“And what are you supposing me to do with this information?” Her voice started breaking.

“Hey, I’m sorry.” I moved closer to her and sat next to her consoling her.

“I’m okay.” That’s it what she could manage to say.

I was wiping her tears which was rolling over her puffy cheeks with both my hand and that moment we suddenly came closer. When she up her face we accidentally kissed.

Next moment she shrugged me away. Gathering all her strength that she could for a moment, raising their feminism voice she created a scene.

“How dare you.”

She threw the bill on the table and went out from my sight without looking back. We weren’t aware that there was a celebrity there named Gaurav Chopra, who came to me in order to give me sympathy.

He advised me to find my love in these hot slices of pizzas instead of getting confused.

He was gone, the crowd was started to settle and I took a bite of pizza. My whole life was flashed in front of my eyes. Priya or Ritika? Priya is the best girl whom I know yet, while tine is just the lady version of Kabir.

If I left Ritika it means I’m leaving myself.

It should be mind’s work to tackle this situation. Who the fuck is wrong in this situation. It is true that neither Priya nor I accepted that we liked each other but there were dozens of night where we talked dirty. And there were dozens of day where Ritika and I played sex.

I closed my eyes and try to find myself between the Priya and the Ritika. Then I saw my father there while chewing the next bite.“Dah? Is that you? I miss you.” I uttered in excitement.“Kabir, my boy. It looks like you are not doing too well my boy.”

“Yeah, I have a big problem.”

“Want her back in the life?” My dad asked.

And I replied in negative. Suddenly I find all the solution in my life. I said, “No, I want you to take decision for me.”

My father smiled.

I opened my eyes and there was Priya there. Her eyes still and very understanding. Tears emerge out from my eyes.

I touched her hand to make sure she was real. “I love you,” I said slowly, “I thought you could understand me. You are my best friend.”

“Stop crying” she smiled behind tears, “I am hungry.”

I raised up the slice of pizza. “Let’s find love… in the slice of the pizza.” I said.
